I want to keep moving in this direction, beyond this. See the triangles? They are really there (out in the world I mean)! Yet to make them more mathematical and hard edged would be wrong. Getting that landscape down is a goal, though this one is a good start.
I did the last two “plein air”, however in the second one I had the first image as one of the layers as a reference for the lines. In an aha moment I combined the two as layers and did some post production. I like the result.

Back at Mt. Lyford and sketching from life, sitting inside, looking out. This is the saddle. Here is the first of a few I did yesterday.
Driving up to Mt. Lyford yesterday we had a spectacular NW sky. To red to be believed, and over the top.
Here is how it looked though! I put it here as another sky led to a satisfying set of images, though not all as satisfying as the best of them.
I put the view inside the picture.

I like the idea. Not only windows but paintings, computers & TV. Some of my portraits show bits of TV, so that is a start.
I took the train to Beacon to see the Dia there. Great day. I enjoyed the view from the window and the hazy nothingness of the Hudson as we left New York. While on the train I painted this image in my mind. Exactly like this. What surprised me is that 20 min out of the city there is hardley a house to be seen and there is bush, not farmland.
I walked to the top of Buena Vista Park just above Height today. Saw the people & their dogs. I had a glimpse of the park yesterday and the first sketch in this series was from memory of something I’d like to do when I walked in the park.
