   Thanks for your comments. My Toshiba M200 tablet is not good outside, it looses essential visibility. I am not sure if there are other tablets that would be better. BUT I do plain air! I can sit in the car, I sit in a tent, I sit in a porch or café and look out the window, or on occasions I crawl under a few bushes and sit outside & use an umbrella to shade the screen as well. But roll on the with the perfect Tablet PC or Apple!

   Power is the other problem, on full brightness it can eat battery power, that is where the car comes in with a socket.
