This is from noticing the ground in New York – steps into shops and so on. our relationship to crossing over lines, and colours all day. Often quite worn & drab, but with luminosity at times shining through. So this is one with the brush set to paint. Paint Steps.

These follow on from a small still life session I had with a drawing teacher! I did stuff on paper with pencilxs and thought I’d follow through here, good to do, will do more.

Maybe there is alchemy here because this was just black on white, and it transformed, or because there is something brewing in that beaker… or maybe I just did this one and the next few in the Alchemy café.
