Blind

Blind

This is Polyphemus the cyclops? blinded by Odysseus, the reference is from an image on Wikipedia I was just doodling but with this one I have a sense of resonance – simply that this is an odyssey, to do these sketches, and they do take me places.

The blindness is getting to me. I have two dream posts (see category) one is called “blind” and another is similar, and is calling for glasses. What is that? I would love to have more clarity, certainty, solidity!

Mondo

Sitting in the café, thinking that the best thing to sketch would be people walking past, and I did a few, but this is the only one worth posting. It led me on to drawing people & there are a few more coming up.

Old Eli

He is getting old. We are noticing it by the day. Today walking around the park he had real trouble with a hind leg. They have short lives!

Elvis

Elvis

1. I just read a great book.
2. The topic came up in a forum I am in.
3. I had the digital liquid ink pen in my hand & I could not help it.
4. It just occurred to me it would be fun to try an Elvis tag.
5. I am a fan!
6. Elvis looks like David, the classic artist subject.

How would it look printed on pure pink velvet?

The book of course is Tarzan Presley, by Nigel Cox, a great book with a few legal constrains around it, out of print & selling now for hundreds of $ – I have one & just finished it. The Elvis backstory is just right, he grew up with the apes in New Zealand!
